Awqaf minister meets Turkish minister of religious affairs

Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs HE Dr Ghaith bin Mubarak al Kuwari met Turkish Minister of Religious Affairs Mohammad Gormaz, on the sidelines of an honouring ceremony for the winners of the International Award for Memorization and Recitation of the Holy Quran, in Ankara.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on issues of common concern. In a press statement after the meeting, Kuwari said that the visit aimed at completing joint cooperation between the two countries, in addition to participating in the ceremony honouring the winners of the Holy Quran competition. He added that the visit opens wider horizons for cooperation"to serve Islam and Muslims".
Gormaz expressed his happiness with this meeting, praising the constructive and fruitful cooperation between his country and Qatar. Qatar participates in the Holy Quran competition in Turkey along with 55 Islamic countries. (QNA)
