THE General Directorate of Traffic on Wednesday announced restrictions on the movement of trucks during the Holy Month of Ramadan to avoid traffic congestion at peak hours, and for the safety of road users including pedestrians and motorists.
According to a Ministry of Interior (MoI) press release, trucks will not be allowed in the peak hours from 8am to 9.30am, from 1.30pm to 3pm, and from 5.30pm to 12am midnight.
The Traffic Department has urged truck drivers to abide by the regulation to ensure smooth flow of traffic and safety of people during the holy month. (TNN)
