The Court of Misdemeanor has ordered deportation of an Asian expatriate for illegally selling business visas on the black market. The court also slapped a fine of QR20,000 on him.
The Public Prosecution said that during investigation, the man had confessed to selling business visas to people for QR20,000 per visa and getting QR1,000 as a commission.
He sold 20 visas to his compatriots and collected a total of QR20,000 as commission from them.
The Public Prosecution said the man turned himself in after two of his clients threatened to inform authorities of his undercover business.
Meanwhile, the court has set free three of his accomplices for lack of evidence as they denied all charges against them.
