Ninety students of Birla Public School are just back from a five-day educational and amusement tour to Georgia accompanied by nine teachers and tour guides.
The school conducts similar excursions every year as such trips are important in the formative years, and are a welcome break from the routine for both students and teachers. The purpose of such trips is essentially to educate, while they also strengthen bonding among everyone involved.
The trips, also involve collection of data followed by a quiz on the same or a project based on what they learned during the trip.
Taking students into a new environment gives them the experience of travelling in a group and teaches them to appreciate the locations they visit, exposing them to the diversity of mankind and teaching them to be global citizens.
Georgia wass a new place for most students and this was particularly advantageous for students who don't have the opportunity to travel.
