Qatar Chemical Company Ltd. (Q-Chem) has won the President's Award for Operational Excellence (OE) in the large petrochemical manufacturing facility category of the 2015 Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC (Chevron Phillips Chemical) award programme.
The prestigious award is presented annually to the"best of the best" of Chevron Phillips Chemical's facilities and company affiliates, recognising exceptional performance in personal safety, process safety, environmental, product stewardship, reliability and security.
Winners are chosen from eligible facilities, which must meet a set of stringent criteria.
This is the second time Q-Chem has received the award. On this occasion, Q-Chem CEO Saad Rashid al Muhannadi said,"Being bestowed with this prestigious award is a real testament to the safety culture of the site and our employees and contractors."
Muhannadi added,"We are proud of this significant accomplishment and wish to convey our deepest thanks and appreciation for everyone's strong effort in making Operational Excellence one of Q-Chem's strongest values."
