The Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF), which kicked off on Wednesday, has brought different continents together with each of them showcasing their rich culture and traditions.
From Philippines to Ethiopia, Germany, South Africa, the US, Japan, Turkey, Italy and Mexico, each of them has something to show about their countries.
Streetfoods, sushi, hotdogs, sandwiches, coffee and other delicious delicacies and beverages are on offer.
Wurstbude, which depicts German street food is part of Germany-Qatar Year of Culture.
Besides the food, some of these countries in collaboration with their respective embassies have organised cultural performances.
German band Niederbayerischer Musikantenstammtisch has been enthralling the festival goers with wonderful tunes.
Speaking to Qatar Tribune, German Ambassador to Qatar HE Hans-Udo Muzel said,"We are happy to take part in the festival and our stalls display traditional foods."
Talking about the band, which comes from Bavarian Alps, he said this band was chosen to bring something traditional to Qatar.
"We also wanted to bring traditional flavour to Qatar because Qatari folklore bands visit Germany. This is a modern band but they play traditional music. It is fantastic for them to gather and have exchanges and it is also a platform for different communities in Qatar to meet."
