OOREDOO lauded all its female employees who took part in the 2017 Female Goal Sports Tournament.
The 2017 Female Goal Sports Tournament came to an end recently with an amazing 163 female employees participating from across the company. As well as competitors, female employees attended the night-time event to cheer on their fellow colleagues. This is the fourth edition of Ooredoo's female Goal tournament, which is designed as a team building event and exercise outlet for female employees across Ooredoo.
During the tournament, which took place at the Qatar Women's Sport Committee, competitors enjoyed activities such as volleyball, shooting, table tennis, table football, and more.
Medals were presented to the winners at the closing ceremony by Alia Jaro, member of Qatar Woman's Sport Committee, Mohammed al Naimi, head of Public Relations & Communications in Qatar Aeronautical College, and Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad bin Nasser al Thani, chairman of the Ooredoo Goal Committee.
As well as sporting activities, the company held a dedicated children's zone which entertained and educated 191 children on the importance of healthy living. Highlights of the tournament included an intense final volleyball match between New Line of Business and the Finance Team, as well as a skilled final shoot off.
