Qatar saw a 16 percent month-on-month drop in traffic violations in February, according to figures released by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS).
The report said a total of 158,213 traffic violations were recorded in February as against 188,173 in January.
February also saw a significant decrease in radar violations. A total of 106,360 violations were registered in February as against 128,624 in January, it said.
The report said a total of 6,225 new vehicles were registered in February, a decrease of 13.7 percent compared to January.
A total of 485 traffic cases were recorded in February, a decrease of 14.2 percent as compared to January. Six deaths were reported, it added.
