Cityscape Qatar, the global real estate exhibition that was held recently in Doha, would go a long way in augmenting the economy, particularly the country's realty sector, said project management company ASTAD, which was one of the participants of the Cityscape Qatar.
"Cityscape comes at a dynamic time where Qatar is seeing further economic and population growth due to urban development and large-scale investments as many infrastructure and building projects have become a national priority," said Chief Executive Officer Ali al Khalifa.
"As a local project and asset management firm, it is our responsibility to ensure the successful delivery for many of these projects in Qatar," he added.
Minister of Economy and Commerce HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammad al Thani had visited ASTAD's stall during the exhibition and discussed projects ASTAD has been working on.
As Qatar increases spending on building and infrastructure plans ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the Qatar National Vision 2030, ASTAD remains determined to successfully manage the delivery of Qatar's infrastructure and transportational needs, the company said in a statement.
ASTAD has initiated plans to start works on more projects across the region, providing new services including facility management, staff augmentation and design services, it added.
The three-day Cityscape Qatar, which was held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, brought together industry leaders spanning government representatives, project owners, developers, consultants and financiers to engage in a dynamic environment that gives an insight into the future of Qatari and global real estate.
