OOREDOO, on Sunday, has announced that the company will take part in the upcoming 2017 Qatar CSR Exhibition and Conference to showcase its growing number of CSR activities to students and visitors.
Ooredoo sponsors and supports a host of CSR-based initiatives across Qatar, including building and operating the Fahad Bin Jassim Kidney Centre, which supports kidney patients in the country and the new state-of-the-art Ooredoo Cancer Awareness Centre.
Working towards the 2030 Qatar National Vision, Ooredoo's main CSR goals are focused on health, education and fitness, working with the community to enrich people's lives and raise awareness on these issues.
As well as displaying its CSR initiatives via a dedicated Ooredoo booth, the company hopes to inspire students to take part and volunteer in more CSR-based activities in Qatar throughout the year.
Talking about the event, Fatima Sultan al Kuwari, Director of Community & Public Relations, Ooredoo Qatar, said:"Volunteering for charitable causes is an amazing thing to do and will give students a real working experience, something all employers look for. We hope our presence at the 2017 CSR Exhibition and Conference will spark future collaborations between Ooredoo and other Qatari organisations, as well as demonstrate and educate people on the huge year-round initiatives we hold for Qatar and its people."
The 2017 Qatar CSR Exhibition and Conference is the first student-based exhibition on social responsibility that will be held in Qatar. The event is being organised by Qatar University and Qatar CSR Network and will take place on the university's grounds on March 20 and 21.
