The Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS) will participate in the three-day GCC Statistical Forum that begins in Riyadh on Monday.
MDPS delegation to the forum is headed by Assistant Undersecretary for Statistics Sultan Ali al Kuwari.
Organised by the General Authority for Statistics and GCC Statistical Center, the forum is being held under of auspices of Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdul Aziz al Saud.
MDPS will also participate in the forum's statistical exhibition with a pavilion in which the ministry will present the latest editions of its most important publications, such as the Qatar Monthly Statistics bulletin, the Labor Force Report, the Atlas of Qatar, Qatar Economic Outlook 2016-2018 and the Annual Statistical Abstract. The forum, which will be held under the theme 'enhancing statistical partnerships to support economic policies and sustainable development in the GCC countries', will bring together the team of data producers and users and the academic sector, to discuss several major themes, such as the request of statistical data and information arising from the national development paths, the sustainable development agenda and the emerging global economic issues.
The forum will further discuss easy access to statistical products and services in support of the national development paths and sustainable development in the GCC countries, and enhancing statistical partnerships between data users and producers to support economic policies and sustainable development in the GCC.
