THE Sixth Annual Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities kicked off in Doha with participation of 62 researchers from various scientific and research institutions on Saturday.
The two main topics of the conference this year include 'Ethics in Arab-Islamic Civilisation' and 'Arab Youth: Migration and the Future'.
The first day of the conference featured two major lectures on ethics in Arab-Islamic civilisation in the era of globalisation delivered by Dr Fahmi Jadaan and Dr George Zitani from Lebanon focusing on liberty, transparency and equality.
The conference will also explore how the fragility of social protection, internal conflicts and lack of opportunities are leading to the migration of Arab youth.
