DOHA The CMC has called for strict measures to prevent people from smoking at the entry and exit points of shopping malls. CMC member Abdulrahman al Khulaify said this phenomenon is causing harm to families and mall goers. He said smoking in malls is banned, and the gates still belong to the mall, so it should be included in the ban as well."Usually you find a large group of people smoking at the gates of malls, which makes waiting at the gate unbearable," he said, adding that the law should be amended to include those smoking at the gates and around the malls. The CMC referred the issue to the public services and utilities committee for more study and issuing necessary recommendations.
