Islamweb.net, an affiliate of the Da'wah and Religious Guidance Department at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, has launched video programmes in English and other foreign languages.
The project aims to boost the understanding of Islam among the Muslims living in the West while linking them to the Muslim community across the globe. The new video content, which will be published on a weekly basis, addresses non-Muslim audiences also.
The website presents the moderate Islam, corrects misconceptions about the religion and offers answers to the questions on religious matters.
The project comprises five sections that revolve round a group of Islamic morals and concepts such as truthfulness, honesty and sincerity. It provides a simple explanation to the most important and indispensable aspects of worship and transactions.
Islamweb.net provides the fatwas, audios, articles and news in five languages -- Arabic, English, French, Spanish and German -- in addition to specialised seasonal coverage for every occasion arising within the Muslim world.
