2.5 tonnes of meat seized, destroyed

DOHA A total of 2.5 tonnes of meat with fake expiry dates was seized from a warehouse in Industrial Area on Sunday by Doha Municipality officials. The meat was destroyed. Officials from the Health Monitoring Section of Doha Municipality detected the violations during a raid. People in the store were found changing the expiry date of meat with new ones. The case was referred to relevant authorities for further action. (TNN)
