The forum, scheduled to take place on the first Wednesday of every month, started with a speech by Ahmad al Sayed. He said,"The Katara Tech Forum by the Cultural Village Foundation's information technology initiative focuses on contributing to the implementation of the goals targeted by Qatar's 2030 vision. Together, we will adopt youth issues related to information technology and assist in finding solutions to the existing problems, in coordination with the government bodies concerned and scientific and research institutions."
A presentation by Thamer al Qadi explained Katara's new initiatives and smart projects to the participants.
Qadi outlined some of Katara's Tech Forum objectives, saying,"Katara Tech Forum also aims at enhancing cooperation with scientific institutions and organisations in Qatar and beyond, in addition to fostering ties with local government bodies working to meet the goals of Qatar's vision 2030 in the information technology sector. Moreover, the forum is seeking to attract young national talent, upgrade their skills, nurture their creative energy and provide needed assistance on how to apply technology in real-time projects".
"The forum also eyes bridging the gap between tech-savvy youth interested in information technology and the information technology-based institutions, through organising and hosting specialised conferences, symposiums, lecturers and scientific debate meetings on latest information and digital technology issues and breakthroughs. The word now speaks one language: Technology," Qadi added.
