PHNOM PENH A quarter of Cambodia's political parties will be unable to participate in the June 4 elections once a bill on political parties becomes law. Hang Puthea, spokesperson for the National Election Committee~said that 12 out of the 45 political parties in Cambodia would be disqualified once the bill is signed into law. The bill is expected to clear the~ruling party-controlled~Senate, before it heads to the Constitutional Council and then King Norodom Sihamoni~for rubber stamping. (DPA)
