As much as 85 percent of parents were satisfied with the performance of the independent schools in the country in the academic year 2015-2016, says the School Report Card (SRC) issued by the School Evaluation Department of the Evaluation Authority at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
In the case of private schools, 84 percent of parents were content with their functioning, while 5 percent of parents expressed dissatisfaction in both categories, according to the SRC for 316 independent and private schools, based on a survey by the Evaluation Department.
Over 78 percent of independent school students were satisfied with their schools while 12 percent of them expressed dissatisfaction. In all, 74 percent of the private school students expressed satisfaction, while 14 percent were dissatisfied. (TNN)
