Chairman of the National Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza HE Ambassador Mohammed al Emadi on Thursday inaugurated a project to establish several residential flats in Deir Al Balah in Gaza.
The project entails construction of six flats in the city.
Handing over a flat to one of the entitled families, Emadi said Qatar will continue to support the people of Gaza and help alleviate their sufferings.
He said these efforts were based on the directives of the Emir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani and the Father Emir HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani.
Financed by the committee as part of a grant by the Father Emir, the project will include nine other flats outside Deir Al Balah at a total cost of $13 million. The project includes preparing infrastructure such as roads, parks, water and electricity.
