THE Emir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad alThani and the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan held an official round of talks at the Emiri Diwan in Doha on Wednesday.
The session of talks was attended by the Deputy Emir HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al Thani and a number of ministers, and members of the official Turkish delegation.
Talks during the meeting tackled the relations between the two brotherly countries and ways of bolstering them in all areas to serve the interests of the two countries and the brotherly people.
The two sides also exchanged views on the situation in Palestine, Syria and Yemen, and discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Earlier, the Turkish president arrived at the Emiri Diwan where he was accorded an official reception ceremony. HH the Emir hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of President Erdogan and his accompanying delegation.Later, in the evening,Erdogan left Doha concluding a two-day official visit to Qatar.
