The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) will temporarily close the 500-metre link road connecting Al Shafi Street to Al Rayyan Al Jadeed Street for a month beginning January 26.
During the diversion, vehicles travelling towards Doha and Bani Hajer from Al Shafi Street should use alternative routes along Al Jassasiya, Al Qalaa Street and Al Wajba Street to reach Al Rayyan Al Jadeed Street.
The traffic regulation is to facilitate utility works, installation of traffic signals and the construction of the main carriageway on Ashghal's Al Rayyan Road Upgrade project, phase 1.
Ashghal has requested road users to abide by the speed limit of 50 kmph for the length of the diversion and follow newly installed traffic road signs to ensure safety.
