Shura Council team leaves for Egypt
A delegation from the Advisory Council on Sunday left Doha for Egypt to participate in the fifth meeting of the fourth session of Arab Parliament's first legislative term, which will be held until June 1. The third Arab Parliamentarians Conference related to children's issues in the Arab region will be held in Cairo on May 31. (QNA)

Qatar's Unesco candidate in Brussels
Qatar's candidate to the post of Director-General of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) and Advisor at the Emiri Diwan, HE Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz al Kuwari, arrived in Brussels on Sunday. Kuwari is scheduled to deliver his speech at a meeting organised in coordination between Qatari-European Friendship Association at the European Parliament and Qatar's Mission to the European Union on Tuesday. It is expected to be attended by high-level Belgian personalities, European commissioners and Nato officials along with a large number of European parliamentarians. The speech will be preceded by meetings with education and culture commissioners. Along with Brussels Mayor Yvan Mayeur, Kuwari will lay a wreath at the memorial for the victims of terrorist attacks at the Maelbeek metro station. (QNA)
