OOREDOO on Sunday was named official sponsor of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2017, which this year will run from January 2 to 7, 2017.
2017 is set to be a special year for the tournament as it is the fifth year that Ooredoois supporting the world-class sporting event and the 25th anniversary of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open contest.
This year star players featuring at the tournament include world No 1 Andy Murray, the defending champion, and world No 2 Novak Djokovic, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, the 2012 champion and Tomas Berdych among others.
The Qatar ExxonMobil Open tournament is the first of the season and gives players a chance to warm up and prepare for the 2017 grand-slams including the Australian Open, to be held two weeks later in Melbourne, Australia.
Ooredoo will be the event's telecommunications partner, providing media areas and offices with global connectivity, and supporting visitors and fans with incredible 3G, 4G and 4G+ broadband services on the Ooredoo Supernet.

Ooredoo sponsors a broad range of sports and healthy living initiatives throughout the year, and is set to host the fifth Ooredoo Marathon on January 13, 2017, as the company encourages people to get fit.
