QATAR Museums (QM), Qatar-based non-profit organisation Reach Out to Asia (ROTA) and independent cultural organisation Doha Film Institute (DFI) held VIP gala dinner at the iconic Museum of Islamic Art on Tuesday evening to celebrate and thank all of their current partners and sponsors for their continued support and contribution over the past year.
The annual dinner, hosted by Qatar Museums Chairperson Her Excellency Sheikha al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani, ROTA and the DFI, is the second event of its kind to be held by Her Excellency, with the first gala dinner for sponsors held at the end of 2015. The dinner was attended by a number of local dignitaries, VIPs as well as CEOs and chairpersons of local sponsoring companies.
Mansoor bin Ebrahim al Mahmoud, Qatar Museums' CEO and Special Advisor to HE the Chairperson, said:"At Qatar Museums, we seek to connect and amplify the nation's cultural institutions and heritage sites and build an exciting and creative future for Qatar. At the heart of this is our commitment to helping Qatar originate art, culture and heritage experiences from within.
"This is an ambition that we cannot deliver successfully without the support of our partners and sponsors, and I would like to thank them profusely on behalf of QM for their continued involvement."
ROTA's Executive Director Essa al Mannai said:"ROTA is honoured to have a host of sponsors whose support is integral to the success of our programmes. Over the years, our valued sponsors have enabled us to advance our numerous educational initiatives that provide marginalised communities and underprivileged youth in the region and Asia with access to quality education."
DFI's CEO Fatma al Remaihi said,"At the Doha Film Institute, we focus on nurturing the talents of our youth through wide-ranging initiatives that support the development of film professionals in the country. We are thankful to all the sponsors and partners for their unwavering support to our activities for the development of globally minded future citizens. Through their partnership, they are contributing to shaping the next generation of local talent, advancing the regional creative industries and enhancing Doha's reputation as a regional hub for film."
