Chairman of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza Strip HE Ambassador Mohamed Ismail al Emadi on Tuesday opened schools in the Father Emir HH Sheikh Hamad City in Gaza.
Each school has 21 classrooms and can accommodate 750 students. These schools have also administrative rooms, yards, playgrounds, computer labs, laboratory and libraries. These schools have been built as per the latest engineering specifications to serve the people of Khan Younis City and Sheikh Hamad City.
Emadi said Qatar provides all forms of support to educational institutions in Palestine, expressing hope that these new schools will help promote education.

He urged the students to keep up with scientific and technological developments in the world to serve the future of the Palestine cause and serve the future of younger generations that will help build the Palestinian state.
Deputy Minister of Education and Higher Education in Gaza Ziad Thabet and a large crowd of teachers and parents were present during the ceremony.
