The embassy has a long history of cooperation with the Qatar Public Library. The first book donation was conducted in 1987, and over almost 30 years, the total number of books presented to the Public Library has reached almost 1,000 books.
Delivering the books to Director of Public Libraries & Heritage Department Ibrahim al Sayed, Japan's Ambassador to Qatar HE Shingo Tsuda expressed hope that the books donated over the years have contributed to enrich knowledge on Japan among Qatari readers, stressing the importance of cultural exchange to build bridge between the two nations.
