The seventh edition of the Qatar International College Fair opened at the Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha on Monday with the participation of over 90 local and international universities and colleges. The exhibition, which will last for three days, aims to raise awareness among students and parents about available higher education opportunities and academic options as well as scholarship programmes into local and international universities and others. In a statement to reporters after the opening of the exhibition, Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Dr Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed al Hammadi urged both students and parents to visit the event to identify the appropriate educational options they can benefit from. He highlighted the existing wide range of scholarship opportunities within and outside Qatar with priority given to University of Qatar and Education City universities. (QNA)
