Qatar's Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr Khalid bin Mohammad al Attiyah met with Chief of General Staff of Turkish Armed Forces General Hulusi Akar in Ankara on Tuesday.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of mutual interest and ways of developing them to serve the common interests of two countries.
The meeting was attended by Qatar's Ambassador to Turkey HE Salim bin Mubarak al Shafi.
Attiyah also visited the headquarters of Tukey's Special Forces.
During the visit, the minister was briefed about the Special Forces, its history and military capabilities.
He was also briefed on the Special Forces Command and the operations they carry out.
The minister also met with Commander of Turkish Special Forces Lieutenant-General Zekai Aksakalli.
They discussed topics of mutual interest between Qatar and Turkey, especially military cooperation and means to develop them.
