Emergency departments at various hospitals of the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) have received 7,818 patients since the first day of Eid Al Adha.
Hamad General Hospital alone received 511 patients on the first day of Eid. While 219 patients availed themselves of the services of the emergency department at Wakra hospital, 266 cases were attended to by the HMC's children's emergency department. The ambulance service attended to 217 cases, including 10 traffic accidents.
On the second day of Eid, emergency departments received a total of 1,895 patients at the Hamad General Hospital, Al Wakra hospital and children's emergency department. The ambulance service received 224 distress calls, including 14 related to road accidents.
In all, 2,120 patients availed themselves of HMC's emergency services on the third day of Eid 590 patients at the emergency department at Hamad General Hospital, 269 at Al Wakra hospital and 1,261 at the children emergency department. The ambulance service attended to 248 cases, including 17 road accident cases.
On the fourth day, HMC attended to 2,590 emergency cases. Hamad General Hospital received 800 cases while Al Wakra hospital handled 353 cases.
In all, 712 cases were received by children's emergency and 300 by paediatric emergency at Al Rayyan health centre, 111 at the airport health centre and 57 cases at Al Daayen health centre. The ambulance service received 257 cases, including seven traffic accident cases, on the fourth day.
