QATAR'S Attorney-General HE Dr Ali bin Fetais al Marri, who is also the United Nations Special Advocate on Stolen Asset Recovery met with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, at the UN headquarters in New York, in the presence of Qatar's Permanent Representative to the United Nations HE Ambassador Sheikha Alia Ahmed bin Saif al Thani.
During the meeting, Marri reviewed the activities carried out in the field of fight against corruption and recovery of the stolen funds, as well as the future plans for his work in this area.
In turn, the United Nations chief praised the efforts being exerted by Marri in urging States to implement the United Nations Convention on the fight against corruption, and expressed his appreciation for the support of the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Centre to the developing countries and in cooperation with the United Nations.
