THE Emir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani participated along with President of Sudan Omar Hassan Ahmed al-Bashir, President of Chad Idriss Deby and President of the Central African Republic Faustin-Archange Touadera, in the celebration of completing the implementation of the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur, which took place at Al-Fashir in North Darfur state on Wednesday.
Members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir attended the celebration as well as a number of Sudanese ministers and senior officials, representatives of governments and regional and international government and non-government organisations and unions, and a large crowd.
HH the Emir along with other dignitaries also visited the accompanying exhibition of completing the implementation of the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur.
HH the Emir attended a luncheon banquet held by the Sudanese president in his honour as well as president of Chad and president of the Central African Republic and official delegations. Several Sudanese ministers and senior officials attended the banquet.
While leaving Sudan, HH the Emir sent a written message to Bashir, thanking the latter for the warm reception. HH the Emir also expressed happiness at the success of Qatar and Sudan in achieving peace and stability in Darfur.
Bidding HH the Emir farewell at Al Fashir Airport were the Sudanese president, assistants of Sudanese president, the Ambassador of Qatar to Sudan HE Rashid Abdul-Rahman al Nuaimi and Ambassador of Sudan to Qatar HE Fath al Rahman Ali. (QNA)
