The draw for the QFA Cup was held at the Qatar Football Association (QFA) headquarters on Thursday morning with 17 teams from the first and second divisions, excluding Al Duhail, Al Sadd and Al Rayyan who are participating in the AFC Champions League.
The teams have been divided into five groups, with four teams in the first and second groups, while the third, fourth and fifth groups includes three teams each as follows:
Group A: Al Ahli, Al-Khor, Al-Bidda and Mesaimeer SC
Group B: Al Gharafa, Qatar SC, Al Shahania and Al Markhiya
Group C: Al Wakrah, Umm Salal and Muaither
Group D: Al Kharaitiyat, Al Arabi and Al Shamal
Group E: Al Sailiya, Al Waab and Lusail SC
The group stage matches of the tournament will start on April 15 with two confrontations, the first of which brings together the Al Ahli and Mesaimeer SC at 9pm at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium, while Al Khor will play Al Bidda in the second match at 11.15 pm at the same stadium, and the first round matches will be resumed.
At 10pm the next day (April 16), will see three matches where the Umm Salal and Muaither will meet at Al Sailiya Stadium.
The Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium will host the Qatar SC meeting with Al Shahania at 9pm, followed by the Al Gharafa and Al Markhiya match at 11.15pm.
