IT seems such a long time since the last examinations back in June, but the wait is finally over and Doha College students are celebrating yet another set of excellent examination results.
A press release on Sunday stated:"At (I)GCSE 96 percent of our students achieved 5+ A* - C grades with 58.7 percent securing 5 or more A* to A grades. At A level the results were equally impressive with 84 percent of all grades at A* - C and 42 percent of grades at A*/A. These figures are much in-line with the top 100 UK schools, a measure associated with an outstanding school. With these excellent A level results 95 percent of our students will be heading off to universities around the world to continue their studies."
Dr Steffen Sommer, Doha College's principal, said:"We are extremely proud of the wonderful results our students achieved at (I)GCSE and A level. These impressive results are a combination of excellent teaching from our staff, strong support from home and a dedicated approach to their studies from our students. This year, we saw a significant number of students scoring 100 percent in individual units of their examinations, which is a remarkable achievement."
Paul Young, Senior Vice Principal - Head of Secondary, said:"I am absolutely delighted with the way our students have performed in public examinations this year. They have immersed themselves in the philosophy of Doha College and have been rewarded with many outstanding results. We wish them every success in the future."
