Qatar Amiri Navy’s corvette Damsah, the second of four Doha-class corvettes, was launched at a ceremony in Italian city of La Spezia on Saturday. Corvette Damsah was manufactured by the Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri. The shipbuilder also laid the keel for the final corvette Smaisma. Major General Mubarak bin Mohammed Al Kumait Al Khayarin, Deputy Chief of Staff for Administration and Logistics Affairs for Qatar Armed Forces, and Rear Admiral Giorgio Lazio, Italian Navy Maritime Commander–Area North, attended the ceremony.
