Three more people recovered from coronavirus (COVID-19) on Sunday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 48 in the country, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced.
Forty-four more people also tested positive for coronavirus, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 634.
In a statement on Sunday, the MoPH said some of the new cases of infection are related to travellers who have returned to Qatar, while others are due to contacts with some previously-diagnosed cases.
The new cases have been put into quarantine where they are receiving the necessary medical care, it added.
So far, 18,877 people have been tested for the virus in Qatar.
The statement said the MoPH is tracing those in contact with new cases and checking all citizens who have recently returned to Qatar. (TNN)
