The Shura Council will hold a special session to discuss a report set to be submitted by Minister of Public Health HE Dr Hanan Mohamed al Kuwari on the measures taken by the ministry to confront the threat of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and to listen to the ministry’s experts on the topic.
Speaker of the Shura Council HE Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid al Mahmoud requested in a letter sent to the Minister of Public Health a detailed report on the precautionary measures taken by the ministry and its affiliated bodies to confront the threat of the emerging coronavirus and the necessary preventive measures which the ministry has taken to reduce the risk of this disease in the short term and in the long term.
The Shura Council speaker also thanked and appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Public Health in developing the health sector in Qatar under the wise leadership of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, and its cooperation with the council in carrying out the national mission entrusted
