HEC Paris, ranked third worldwide for Executive Education and first for the International Executive MBA by the Financial Times in 2019, officially welcomed the HEC Paris International Executive MBA (EMBA) Class of 2021, during a launch event held on its Doha campus in Tornado Tower recently.
The new EMBA cohort was welcomed by Dr Pablo Martin de Holan, dean of HEC Paris in Qatar; Dr Andrea Masini, associate dean, MBA Programs, HEC Paris; and Abdallah Abdel-Daem, director of Programs, HEC Paris in Qatar.
Participants come from 14 countries, including Lebanon, Jordan, India, UK, South Africa, Oman, Egypt, Qatar, Germany, Kuwait, Kenya, Canada, Tunisia and Morocco.
In his welcome note, Dr Holan said: “The 2020 intake of our International Executive MBA programme once again features participants from very diverse backgrounds and perspectives. This is proof of HEC´s multi-cultural identity and respect for diversity and it is also a testament of the growing popularity of this programme, which has in many ways become synonymous with the existence of HEC Paris in Qatar. Without a doubt, the EMBA programme and its companion Executive Master SBUM, delivered by us in Doha, have become our pillars of strength over the last ten years. On behalf of HEC Paris, it is my pleasure and my honour to welcome these talented and hard-working men and women for what will be a transformative journey of personal and professional growth.”
The International Executive MBA is a practical and intense 16-month programme developed to provide participants with an understanding of the social, economic and environmental aspects of international business, as well as the skills to implement their vision.
The curriculum is built around three components: 11 core courses in all the key areas of general management, a specialisation and a capstone project. The comprehensive core courses include modules on strategy, analysis and implementation, as well as leadership and human resources management. Participants will choose one of the eight specialisations, delivered in different locations. These specialisations are Energy; Innovation & Social Business; Entrepreneurship & Innovation; Differentiation & Innovation through Services; Leading Digital Transformation; Luxury; Finance; and Entrepreneurship - Project Accelerator.
