The Dance Club of DPS-MIS organised a dance festival with the theme ‘Gateway to India’ recently.
The event was a good opportunity for the students to understand various types of folk dances of India and the diverse Indian culture.
After the welcome speech by Khushi Thobhani and Srobona Mal, the promo of the dance fest, shot by the press team of Priyanka Vanama, Naveen Dorairaj and Allwyn Antony, was played.
Various scintillating dances presented by the members of the club kept the audience glued to the seat and their unceasing applause defined the success of the show.
Principal Asna Nafees commended the efforts of the students and the teachers in successfully conducting the event for the first time in DPS-MIS.
She said the school was glad to welcome new initiatives and ideas which involve showcasing young talents.
The Dance Club headed by Harini Balamurugan, Srobona Mal, Khushi Thobhani and Vrinda Vijaya Kumar under the supervision of Club CoordinatorAnita trained the student members of classes VI – IX, for the year 2019-20.
The event was a fun-filled learning experience for the students to explore the language of dance.
The show concluded with the vote of thanks by Harini Balamurugan and Vrinda Vijaya Kumar. Thanks to its great success, the event will continue to take place in the coming years.
