The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has opened a new underpass at Mesaimeer Interchange, easing traffic flow from E- Ring Road towards Doha Expressway. The 500 metre-long underpass can accommodate more than 3,000 cars per hour and it is the fourth out of nine underpasses being constructed at the Interchange. The 6.1-km-long interchange consists of three to four lane carriageways to accommodate around 20,000 cars per hour in both directions.
