Qatar Airways (QA) and Hamad International Airport (HIA) have stepped up measures to ensure safety and security of passengers and crew on flights from China in the wake of coronavirus outbreak.
“Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport is taking all necessary measures to ensure the security and safety of passengers and crew on flights from China. All travellers from China undergo two medical examinations,” a tweet posted by Qatar Airways said.
“The first examination will be done upon departure from China by the local authorities and an intensive medical examination upon arrival at Hamad International Airport in Doha by the Ministry of Public Health,” the tweet read. HIA in Qatar and the local medical authorities implement the international health regulations in this regard, and no cases were recorded among passengers traveling through the airport. (TNN)
