Amir, Merkel review Libya developments Jan 28, 2020 0 1204 12345 The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani on Monday held a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Dr Angela Merkel. During the phone call, they exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues, particularly the developments in Libya. The Amir affirmed Qatar’s support to the outcome of the Berlin Conference. The two sides stressed the need to adhere to the ceasefire and maintain peace and to provide space for dialogue, in order to preserve the lives of Libyans and to prevent bloodshed.
