Qatar University (QU) will be collaborating with Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) of Oman to organise the first international convention on scientific research management titled ‘Research Management and Administration Conference’, on March 30 and 31.
The conference will be attended by experts from Qatar and Oman, along with international experts from prestigious international universities and research centres.
The conference, which will be hosted by Sultan Qaboos University, aims to benefit society by leading scientific research towards finding solutions to community problems, expand scientific research funding programmes, spread the scientific research culture within industrial institutions and exchange the best methodologies in the management of scientific research locally and internationally.
The conference also will help identify the challenges and issues facing scientific research, find ways to address them and help identify international methodologies to measure and monitor the quality of scientific research and its impact on society.
The participants will address strategies of scientific research management, the management of research programmes and its challenges, in addition to addressing the ethical and legal aspects of research projects.
During the sessions, discussions will include the topic of competitiveness in obtaining research funding.
