The Qatar Primary Materials Co (QPMC) will be the Golden Sponsor of the upcoming ‘Made in Qatar 2020’ exhibition in Kuwait, Qatar Chamber (QC) announced in a statement on Sunday.
The expo, slated to be held from February 19 to 22, will be organised by the Qatar Chamber in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Qatar Development Bank and the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It will be hosted over 10,000 sqm at the Kuwait International Fair.
QC Director General Saleh bin Hamad al Sharqi and QPMC CEO Essa Mohamed Ali Kaldari signed the sponsorship agreement at the chamber headquarter.
Kaldari said, “The eighth edition of the ‘Made in Qatar expo marks the third time it is held outside Qatar. The expo plays a key role in promoting locally-made products and fostering the role of industry in the national economy.”
Kaldari also noted that the exhibition provides a brilliant opportunity for the company to inform the Kuwaiti business community and Kuwaiti businessmen on its activities, strategic products and future plans for expansion.
He said QPMC has successfully managed to fulfill the needs of the local market.
Sharqi said organising the expo for the third time outside the country shows the significant growth of Qatar’s industrial sector.
“Qatari factories and manufacturing companies are eager to display their products in the Kuwaiti market to open new export destinations,” he added.
The four-day expo aims at fostering cooperation between Qatari and Kuwaiti companies, in addition to familiarising Kuwaiti business community on Qatar products.
The exhibition is expected to see the participation of more than 220 companies and factories from Qatar.
