The Community College of Qatar (CCQ) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar Postal Services Company (Qatar Post), under which Qatar Post will deliver the college’s textbooks and courseware to its students across the country.
The MoU was signed by President of CCQ Dr Mohamed al Naemi and Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Post Faleh Mohammed al Nuaimi at a special ceremony held on CCQ’s C-Ring campus.
Commenting on the occasion, Dr Naemi said, “Today, we are pleased to sign an MoU with Qatar Post, a leading national institution that provides a wide range of distinguished postal services, in order to facilitate students’ access to textbooks, wherever they may be in Qatar. This step is part of the college’s policy to provide the utmost flexibility to learners and to help them advance their academic and professional endeavours. This, in turn, contributes to providing the nation with qualified national competencies capable of building its knowledge-based economy.”
Nuaimi said, “Helping the society achieve progress is a shared national goal and a noble value. In this context, our joint efforts aim to support our students at the Community College of Qatar and provide an opportunity for them to benefit from our textbook delivery service so that they can invest their time in achieving academic excellence.”
He added, “This agreement also comes within the framework of Qatar Post’s strategic expansion plan, in the course of which, we will be looking to build bridges of cooperation with various public and private institutions in Qatar towards developing new and innovative ways to improve our services.”
The MoU provides a collaborative framework between the two institutions, where Qatar Post will deliver parcels containing textbooks and courseware that students have purchased through CCQ’s online portal, provided their weight does not exceed 30 kilogrammes.
“The Community College of Qatar is constantly striving to establish partnerships and various agreements with leading institutions and firms in the state in order to enhance its educational services and provide students with a conducive learning environment that helps them focus on their studies and achieve their aspirations,” said a press statement from the college.
