Triple defending champions Qatar will clash with Bahrain for a place in the final of the Asian Men’s Handball Championship on Saturday. The other semis pits Japan against South Korea. Qatar, who had already topped Group 2 in the Main Round, posted a 29-23 victory over hosts Kuwait in their last match in Kuwait City on Thursday. Korea and Iran drew their match 24-24 and the former advanced to the last four stage due to their better goal difference. In Group 1, Japan and Bahrain qualified after taking the top two spots. All the semi-finalists booked their tickets for the 2021 World Championship, to be staged in Cairo, Egypt.
