As part of the Qatarisation drive, the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs (MADLSA) has advised public and private sector entities to hire 4,000 jobseekers by their specialties.
Abdullah al Dossari, Assistant Undersecretary at MADLSA, said this drive will continue in the coming years in accordance with the national development strategy.
He said most of the authorities were informed about the preparation of Qatari jobseekers to replace non-Qatari employees.
In order to ensure that things go well, interviews will be conducted with job seekers at the ministry headquarters, he said. Text messages will be sent to job seekers in the coming weeks to nominate them for suitable jobs for their qualifications in the public and private sectors.
Dosari called on jobseekers to attend the personal interviews and prepare well for it and said that last year, 3,000 jobseekers were appointed, indicating that the ministry’s ambition for this year is to recruit more people.
Sources said the plan is to raise the rate of Qatarisation of jobs in human resources departments of ministries, agencies, public bodies and institutions to 95 percent.
Every year all departments are mandated to raise the rate of Qatarisation by four percent.
