Jerusalem: US Vice President Mike Pence on Thursday called on nearly 50 world leaders gathered in Jerusalem to ensure that another Holocaust would “never happen again” and to unite against Iran. “Today we remember what happens when the powerless cry out for help and the powerful do not answer,” he said. “We must be prepared to confront and expose the vile tide of anti-Semitism that is fuelling hate and violence all across the world,” added the US vice president.
“In that same spirit, we must also stand strong against [...] the one government in the world that denies the Holocaust as a matter of state policy and threatens to wipe Israel off the map,” he said.
“The world must stand strong against the Islamic Republic of Iran.” Pence also paid tribute to the righteous among the nation and to soldiers of the Allied forces, including 2 million US soldiers. (DPA)
