With less than a month to go for the Qatar Total Open 2020, tennis fans can now purchase their tickets as sales began at the City Center and Doha Festival City malls on Friday.
Ticket sales at the Villagio Mall will start on Sunday (January 26). Tickets can also be purchased at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex, the venue of the tournament, as well as online by visiting www.qatartennis.org.
The Qatar Total Open 2020, the 18th edition of the annual tournament in Qatar, will be held from February 23 to 29.
It features eight of the top-ten players, and four former champions, with world No.1 Ashleigh Barty topping the list which also has World No. 2 Karolina Pliskova and 2014 champion and World No. 4 Simona Halep, 2019 Wimbledon semi-finalist & World No.5 Elina Svitolina, and World No. 6 & 2019 US Open champion Bianca Andreescu among others.
In all, a total of 64 players, including four qualifiers, will feature in the singles event of the WTA Premier 5 tournament while 32 teams will slug it out in the doubles.
Tournament Director Saad al Mohannadi said, “We are delighted to commence the sales of tickets for Qatar Total Open 2020 as early as possible. Considering the caliber of stars on parade at the tournament, we believe that it is going to be one of the best ever. We’ll like to encourage everyone to get their tickets as soon as possible in order to enjoy the exciting array of activities lined up for them at the tournament.”
