THE Cabinet, at its weekly meeting chaired by Prime Minister HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani at Amiri Diwan on Wednesday, took the necessary measures to issue a draft law amending some provisions of Decree Law No 17 of 2010 organising the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) after reviewing the Shura Council’s recommendations.
It also approved the holding of the 5th session of the Qatari-Kazakhstan Joint Higher Committee in Kazakhstan.
The Cabinet approved a draft air transport agreement between Qatar and Iraq; a draft memorandum of understanding to establish a mechanism for political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of Qatar and Bolivia; and a draft MoU for cooperation in the field of agriculture and food security between the Ministry of Municipality and Environment of Qatar and the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan.
It also approved a draft declaration of common intent in the field of sustainable and smart cities between the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Qatar and the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition as well as the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion and Relations with Local Authorities of France.
Subsequently, the Cabinet reviewed the Minister of Public Health’s letter regarding the results of the 5th meeting of the GCC Health Ministers’ Committee and the 82nd Conference of the Council of Ministers of Health of the GCC countries and took the appropriate decision thereon.
