W Doha Hotel & Residences will host Lebanon’s ‘King of Comedy’ Nemr, for the second time, at the Great Room in the W Doha Hotel with a brand-new show ‘The Future is Now’, which promises to be another legendary comedy experience.
Following the smashing success of his latest show ‘Love Isn’t the Answer’, the Lebanese-American stand-up sensation is set to perform for one more time in Qatar with a bigger, better and louder-than-ever show on February 6.
In recent years, Nemr has been credited with pioneering the stand-up comedy scene throughout the Middle East, where he uses his inventive, riotous humour to break down barriers and unite people around the world. The funnyman has already performed in major cities around the world across the US, Europe and the Middle East.
As an accomplished stand-up comic with eight full feature shows, it’s no wonder Nemr’s second world tour, ‘Love Isn’t the Answer’, was met with unprecedented success, selling out across the globe from every major city in the US to Europe and across the Middle East. His second international tour became the second global comedy event to successfully stretch from the US to the Middle East, with crowds of up to 6,000 people at every show.
Commenting on his upcoming performance at the W Doha, Nemr said, “I am so excited to kick-start 2020 in Qatar with my brand-new show ‘The Future is Now’ which is becoming my biggest tour ever. Stand-up comedy is an incredible form of art that evolves with every single show. I have witnessed my own shows change along a tour as I connect with my audiences from around the world and bring more of their experiences into my acts. it’s always been my dream to make people laugh, and now I get to do this every single day.”
Nemr grew up in San Diego and then moved back with his family to Lebanon where he began his careeras a student hosting concerts as a stand-up comedian at his university, the American University of Beirut. And today, he has become a comedy sensation and is credited with establishing and pioneering the stand-up comedy scene throughout the Middle East. In May of 2014 he was featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine (Middle East) solidifying Nemr’s legacy as the biggest name in stand-up in the region. Tickets are sold at W Doha only and prices start at QR150 per person. The doors open at 8.30pm. More information is available on the number 44535135.
